Austin City Limits has made some changes to their grounds layout from ACL 2016:
Choose from three entrances: the Barton Springs East Entrance, the Barton Springs West Entrance, and the Lady Bird Lake Entrance.
New Box Office should make it easier to pick up wristbands or get help, wherever you are. Head to the East Box Office if you’re coming from Lamar Blvd. or check out the West Box Office if you’re coming from Mopac or getting dropped off from one of the free Official Festival Shuttles.
With an expanded festival area, stages are being moved to improve crowd flow and avoid sound bleed.
Sound-bleed can be a point of contention at music fests. When Sir Paul McCartney played Lollapalooza, he was a great sport about the heavy bass bleed-over from the Mixy-Mixy tent, busting out a little dad-dancing and cracking some jokes. We were NOT happy about this but upon moving to the lake side of the set (away from the EDM), it worked out nicely.

Some general festing tips:
As general festing rule, always remember to drink plenty of water whether you’re speeding up your dehydration via Booze, Ecstasy, Adderall, caffeine, or just plain ol’ walking around in the sun!
Plan your next move – Have you recently seen some artists or will be seeing them soon after ACL? If so, consider leaving their set early, showing up late, or skipping altogether for another band you might not even love as much. You’ll probably be glad you did at the end of the festing year. We’re still a little iffy about skipping Cage the Elephant at Lolla this year as we’ve seen them quite a bit but I’m confident we’ll get to see another good show from those guys.
